Welcome to The Ashes Barns
We’re so glad that you’ve been booked to photograph a wedding at The Ashes Barns and we can't wait for you to have a spectacular day here with the happy couple and their guests.
You are more than welcome to explore the venue and grounds on the big day, we’re sure you’ll be pleased with the variety of amazing photo opportunities at this beautiful venue.
If you’d like to come and familiarise yourself with the wedding venue beforehand, please get in touch with our Events Team who will be happy to book a viewing appointment for you.
That Confetti Shot!
We allow biodegradable confetti to be used in certain areas of the wedding venue. The Event Manager will be happy to show you where we allow confetti to be thrown.
We don’t allow confetti bombs, confetti cannons or any metal/foil confetti and we’d really appreciate it if you could work with us on this and intervene on our behalf if you see anyone about to launch a confetti cannon!
During the winter months, we do not allow confetti outside if there is a risk of an overnight frost. In these instances the Event Manager will allow confetti to be thrown inside the ceremony room.
Unlimited Access
We don’t want to limit your creativity, so you are welcome to shoot anywhere within the amazing grounds at The Ashes Barns throughout the wedding day. Our Highland Cows often like to get involved too!
We'd really appreciate it if you can work with us to keep to the wedding timings agreed with the happy couple. We’re more than happy to share the timings with you in advance or on the day. Just ask us for a copy and we’ll email them over.
We typically allow an hour and a half for the drinks reception after the ceremony, before the guest are seated for the wedding breakfast so this is your ideal time to get those private shots of the happy couple.
