As barn wedding venues go, you can’t get more picturesque than The Ashes Barns. A private, family-run wedding venue in a gorgeous fifty acre estate, at the foothills of the Peak District National Park, within the borders of Staffordshire in the West Midlands.
Stunning Rural Location
From lush lawns with verdant borders, the idyllic pond and lustrous lake, apple orchard and bramble hedges to wilder things…wheat fields, bubbling brooks and starlit vistas, youʼll be overwhelmed by the variety of magical backdrops for your wedding photographs.
The Country House lawn offers incredible views across the surrounding countryside setting of the stunning collection of listed stone barns which make up The Ashes Barns Venue.
Your Dressing Room
Available from 10.30am enjoy your wedding day preparations in The Dressing Room. Pop open a bottle a bubbly and enjoy the company of your loved ones whilst being pampered and preened!
You'll love the high chairs and natural light when applying make up; enjoy a moment of calm in the cosy lounge area complete with Emma Bridgewater tea set; then get super excited as you sneak a peek of guests taking their seats in the ceremony barn, from the spy window on the second-floor!
Your Barn Wedding
Licensed for civil ceremonies and comfortably seating up to a 150 guests, The West Barn features exposed oak beams, gorgeous stone flagged floor, original mullioned windows, a Juliet Balcony for your musicians and a stunning aisle to sway down.
Choosing a historic barn wedding venue certainly adds a touch of magic to your ceremony. The West Barn is the oldest structure at The Ashes; a 17th century Grade II* Listed rustic stone barn with warmth and charm.
Your Drinks Reception
Invite guests outside after your wedding ceremony where our waiting-on staff will be ready with trays of your chosen celebratory drinks. Relax, mingle, be congratulated and hugged a lot!
There is plenty of outside furniture in the flagged courtyard in between our two magnificent stone barns. We'll happily follow guests onto the Country House Lawn with drinks if you like and if it's chilly we'll get the The West Barn toasty and serve your drinks inside. With our amazing no corkage drinks option, you can get creative with your drinks choices: will you invite guests to 'pimp their prosecco' or indulge in a craft beer (or two!)
Your Wedding Breakfast Meal
Held in The East Barn, your wedding breakfast is a celebratory feast of your choosing, enjoyed in the mesmerising setting of this stunning Grade II* Listed wedding barn.
The warm tones of the natural stone, polished oak floor, exposed oak beams and super-cute stable doors make this a relaxed and delightful setting for your first meal as a married couple.
Your Evening Reception - Party Time!
Barn wedding venues rarely offer clients the luxury of having a wedding barn so large that it can accommodate all your guests for the wedding breakfast, house an awesome dancefloor and a seriously cool bar with viewing balcony overlooking all the action below.
The East Barn is ideal for your wedding reception celebrations because everything you’ll need to celebrate in style is inside this amazing barn and because no one has to relocate, you don’t lose any of the party atmosphere that’s built up during the day.
