Pet Friendly Weddings

Your fur baby is invited too!

Pets are family!

We understand that pets make up a special part of your family and it's only fair that they're included on your wedding too. The Ashes Barns is one of Staffordshire's dog friendly wedding venues, here are some top tips for a pawsome pet friendly wedding day.

Dog Friendly Wedding Venues

When your dog means the absolute world to you, it's only right that you choose dog friendly wedding venues when searching for your dream venue.

We love it when the Happy Couple want to include their dog.

The Ashes Barns allows the Happy Couple's dog to be the ring bearer for their ceremony in the West Barn.

After the ceremony, your dog is welcome to pose with you for some photographs before returning home.

Make sure to let your Photographer know if you're letting your dog in on the wedding day action. It might be a good idea to include your fur baby in your pre-wedding engagement shoot too!

As with most dog friendly wedding venues, we ask that your dog is kept outside, other than when performing ring bearing duties.

Wedding Pet Chaperone

We want you and your family to relax and enjoy every moment of your wedding day here at The Ashes Barns.

If you know your gorgeous and adored dog is safe and comfortable with an established wedding dog-sitting service, you'll be able to enjoy your day without worrying about your pooch.

We recommend a local service called Precious Pets Weddings who are featured on our Handpicked List of suppliers and offer a wonderful pet chaperone service for weddings.

They'll chaperone your dog to your wedding in style, assist with ring bearer duties so your pet bears the rings beautifully, plus work with your photographer to get the most amazing pictures you will treasure forever. They also offer full day pet care and will pamper your fur baby so can you relax and enjoy your magical wedding day!

Dog Friendly Accommodation

Unfortunately, we do not allow dogs to stay overnight at The Ashes Barns and must be returned home or to a supervised location after the drinks reception.

Our countryside location is ideal for dogs meaning there is lots of dog friendly accommodation nearby the venue.

Dog Friendly Top Tips

  • Let your guests know that your dog will be attending your wedding, just in case any of your guests have a severe allergy.
  • Consider your dog's personality and temperament, you want them to enjoy the experience!
  • Please respect the rural setting of The Ashes Barns and do not let dogs off the lead. We have three highland cows and often have sheep grazing on the farmland.
  • Make sure you bring the pooper scooper!

It's important that you let your wedding day event manager know, if you plan to let your dog be the ring bearer at your Ashes Barns wedding. We need to advise the Registrars conducting the ceremony.

Please understand that your wedding guests may not bring their dogs onsite and must not leave dogs shut inside vehicles on our car park.
