Things To Consider

  • Overall wedding theme. When gathering ideas for your winter wedding colour palette, consider all your wedding décor, such as Lanterns/Tealights, Signage/Stationary; does it contain any accents of silver, gold, black etc?
  • The wedding party outfit colours and fabric (dresses, suits etc). The flowers should compliment each outfit, whether it be a bouquet or buttonhole, it needs to be the perfect mix between not being too stark so it stands out, and not blending in so it can’t be seen!
  • The nights are darker earlier in the winter months, so lots of candlelight combined with florals, adds a romantic glow during the meal!
  • If you are planning a festive wedding, consider the venues festive décor such as Christmas Trees and lighting.

Will My Flowers Last?

Winter Flowers (and especially winter Foliages) often have the longest lifespan due to them naturally being able to withstand colder temperatures. Most winter foliages have ‘woody’ stems and can last longer without a water source. That being said, the venues need to be warm and cosy for your guests, so we recommend choosing designs that have a substantial water source for throughout the day and evening. This will give them the extra hydration when they have a little shock by the warmth of the heating!

FAQs

We often get asked if pinecones and dried fruits can be incorporated into florals, the answer is absolutely! They add warmth and texture, as well as smelling divine!

We also get asked if we can add a frosty/snowy effect to florals, again, the answer is absolutely!! Senecio Foliage, already has this effect naturally and it’s super soft to touch! However, we can also add this effect to flowers and foliages for an extra wintery look!
