Lisa chose to get ready for her big day in The Ashes Bridal Preparation Suite, The Old Dairy. This is always a fantastic idea as it means you’re onsite quite early on in the day; you can relax and settle in without having to fret about the wedding car turning up on time or any heavy traffic holding you up.
The Old Dairy is well lit, well equipped and has plenty of room for your flower girls and bridesmaids to get ready too.

Rustic Barn Wedding Ideas

I just adore all the gorgeous little details Lisa and James chose for their wedding. They totally embraced the character of the rustic barn wedding venue and chose décor and details that fit perfectly within the venue.
Their rustic wedding barn ideas included lots of pastels, distressed wood, glorious displays of English garden flowers, homemade jam for the favours, sweeties and the cutest little ‘advice’ cards which they invited their guests to fill in for them.

And Relax….

At The Ashes we’ll always encourage you to do things your way and if that means bucking convention and meeting up with your husband or wife to be, before the ceremony for a few precious moments together, then so be it.
Just talk to your Ashes Event Manager about any such requests and we’ll help orchestrate the opportunity and keep you both hidden away from your guests until the ceremony.

Relaxed, Stylish and Fun

I love that James and his Groomsmen opted for relaxed but stylish attire, the bow tie and braces looks great and fits so well with their other relaxed barn wedding ideas and theme. I think it’s pretty obvious from the pictures that the most important thing on their agenda was to enjoy every moment and have loads of fun.
It’s the first time I’ve seen a Dolorian at The Ashes and I smiled, a lot!
