Outdoorsy Country Weddings
I consider myself an ‘outdoorsy’ person, I’m aware that the traditional definition of this would indicate that I’m in to cross-country walks at dawn and mucking out the horses; this sadly, is not the case; I merely mean that given the choice, I prefer being in the country rather than a town or city and if I can get outside and enjoy the countryside then all the better.
No surprise then that I love being an Event Manager at The Ashes, helping with all the country weddings held here throughout the year.

There’s something about a glorious English summer’s day which brings out the best in people and The Ashes is such an inspirational venue for your country weddings theme; bunting, quaint floral arrangements and a pastel palette, just work so well against the rural stonework of the barns.
Informal Wedding Breakfast
A relaxed country wedding wouldn’t be the same without a fabulous informal wedding breakfast. On a glorious sunny day we open all the stable doors of The East Barn’ letting in the summer breeze and opening out the room, to bring the countryside in. Our couples quite often opt for a BBQ wedding breakfast in summer which works really well at country weddings. Our exclusive catering partners set up their BBQ station outside in the stone flagged courtyard and prepare some pretty sensational sizzling BBQ dishes.
