Cheshire Wedding Venue - The Ashes

Cheshire Wedding Venues

Unlike lots of Cheshire wedding venues, The Ashes Barn Wedding Venue is perfectly suited for young children. I know that our Brides and Grooms often deliberate for some time about whether or not to invite children to their wedding. It can be a politically charged decision!
As a parent I can reassure you that we really don’t take offence if you’d rather not have kids running around, in fact it’s quite nice for us parents to have a whole day to ourselves! Having said that, I loved being the Event Manager at a real family wedding last Saturday, where four generations enjoyed themselves in the sunshine together.
If you’d like to invite young children to your wedding then just spare them a thought when searching for Cheshire wedding venues and venues in the surrounding counties, Staffordshire, Shropshire, and Derbyshire. Not all of the wedding venues will be suitable for little ones.
The Ashes Wedding Venue is simply perfect for young children; parents can pull up right to the entrance of the Ceremony Barn to unload the car. This is fabulous news to parents who never ceased to be amazed by how much clobber comes with such a little child or baby.
At The Ashes Wedding Venue we are more than happy to allow buggies and push chairs into our barns which are plenty big enough to accommodate them with ease. Again, if it’s a little baby this is great news for the parents who can leave the sleeping cherub in their pram or car seat and position them by the table next to where they are enjoying your sumptuous Wedding Breakfast.

Our lush grounds, courtyards and both barns are all on one level, half a mile away from the road so parents can relax and enjoy mingling with you and your guests safe in the knowledge that their little ones can’t get into too much trouble.

The Ashes Wedding Venue is set in 50 acres of farmland, young children love to grab their parents by the hand and take them for a short walk to say hello to our Highland Cows and Horses who are quite sociable and more often than not a stroll down to the lake to say hello to our wild birds and ducks is called for after the meal.
When doing your research on Staffordshire and Cheshire wedding venues you might also like to consider that guests bringing young children from any distance will find it easy to make a short-break out of it. With that in mind here are a few ideas for parents on what you can do with the kids in Staffordshire:
Decorate a Pot at Emma Bridgewater
The Emma Bridgewater Factory Shop is only a 20 minute drive from The Ashes, let your little ones decorate you some new kitchenware while you pick up a few bargains!
Walk on the Wild Side at Trentham Monkey Forest
Walk through the 60 acres of woodland, now home to over 140 Barbary macaques who get incredible close, you’ll hear rustling in the trees, chattering in a strange language and see the monkeys crashing through branches.
Visit The Staffordshire Hoard
On display in The Potteries Museum until 1st September 2013 this astonishing exhibition features over two hundred artefacts from the Anglo-Saxon period all unearthed in Staffordshire.
